BREAKFAST FOR LEARNING / KIDS EAT SMART FOUNDATION

Breakfast for Learning is the leading, national non-profit organization dedicated to child nutrition programs in Canada.  We are committed to helping start and sustain school-based breakfast, lunch and snack programs using our community-development model, which encourages the use of local expertise and resources to meet the local needs of each region.

Through direct program funding and funding to Kids Eat Smart Foundation Breakfast for Learning supported 213 nutrition programs, serving 17,155 students in Newfoundland & Labrador 2010/2011.

In addition to proving direct funding prgoram funding in Newfoundland & Labrador, Breakfast for Learning funds Kids East Smart Foundation an organization dedicated to child health through support of nutrition programs in the province.  In 2007, Kids Eat Smart Foundation was recipient of the Canadian Medical Association’s Award for Excellence in Health Promotion.
