 "One of the largest obstacles in delivering a breakfast program is coordinating the ordering and delivery of the food itself. The local store seldom has the healthy foods we're looking for, and certainly not in the quantities we need. Ordering from the local store is also prohibitively expensive. We can order from a grocery store in Yellowknife, but then we're saddled with shipping costs to the airport, as well as the freight costs of transporting goods into our fly-in community.

Breakfast for Learning Northwest Territories’s coordination with Air Tindi to provide free shipping for fruits and vegetables has been especially beneficial to our program this year. The partnership allows us to access the better quality and variety of fruits and vegetables in Yellowknife without our tight school budget getting hit for shipping costs."
