Bridgetown Regional High School

This school has 400 students gr 7-12, with the breakfast program serving about 40 students per day, 5 days week. The breakfast program runs out of the family studies lab where there is     lots of space for students to relax and eat in a friendly environment. Early sports team as well as early band practice students enjoy accessing the program, and see it as a real benefit to the school.

” It’s nice to see a program that works for the students at BRHS.  With our busy lives and fast paced mornings, we are glad to know our students     can get off on the right track when our mornings are rushed”

“Students are learning the importance of a nutritious meal and how it can impact their daily lives.”
Local independent grocer-Graves Value Foods are a strong community supporter for this program.

Dwight Ross Elementary School

This elementary school has 220 students with approximately 65 participating in the program which operates 5 days per week from the lunch room.

“Having a universal breakfast program has established a wonderful start to the day for many students.  In addition to a healthy breakfast they are able to socialize in a calm and controlled manner with their friends.  It also supplies a very valuable leadership experience for the children who assist with the program on a daily basis. Having all children start the day with healthy food is reflected, we believe, in the amazingly low numbers     of office referrals that we see here at DRES.”

“The establishment of a universal breakfast program is one of the best initiatives to come to Dwight Ross Elementary in some time. It has greatly enhanced the health and sense of community of all students and staff.”

Hilden Elementary School

This small rural elementary school has 115 students with about 40 participating in breakfast which is served 5 days per week. Breakfast is served from a cart, and is available to all students daily.

“As a volunteer who attends to the breakfast cart most mornings greeting the children, seeing their manners is a great way for me to start the school day. It gives me a chance to talk to many students on a daily basis that I may normally not have a chance to.”
