Breakfast for Learning - Nunavut |
|
Nunavut is a beautiful and culturally rich area of Canada. With 1.994 million square kilometers (one fifth of Canada) and only 29,000 people, Nunavut’s 28 communities are small, remote and accessible only by air or seasonal sea barge. Many Inuit continue to honour their heritage by consuming traditional foods such as caribou, muskox, Arctic char, wild berries and seal but modern life demands that this healthy food is supplemented by store-bought items that have made the long trip from producer to grocery store shelf.
