A Letter from the Program

I would like to pass on my sincere gratitude and appreciation to Breakfast for Learning and President’s Choice Children’s Charity for the grant that JD Hogarth Public School has received! 

JD Hogarth Public School is an elementary school located in Fergus with a population of 570 students.  Our Student Nutrition Program offers a snack, five days per week, to every student who wishes to access the program.  This year we have seen a substantial increase in food consumption which speaks to the needs of our program.  Unfortunately, we often run out of food by the end of each week due to lack of funds.

With your Breakfast for Learning Grant, you have made it possible for us to increase our meals served so that our students are better nourished throughout their school day.  I would like to thank Breakfast for Learning for your continued support with our Student Nutrition Program and for helping us to reach our goal: Children should hunger for knowledge not food.
