East Wiltshire Intermediate School
Breakfast Program organizers and volunteers with the East Wiltshire Intermediate School Breakfast Program recently held a pancake breakfast fundraiser event at Marco Polo Land Campground in Cavendish in support of their breakfast program.

PRINCE EDWARD ISLAND GRANT APPLICATION DEADLINE
The BFL PEI grant application deadline was June 1, 2010. Successful applicants will receive their first installment of their funding in September 2010. If you missed the deadline, please contact Charmaine Campbell at (902) 368-6844.

BIKING IN SUPPORT OF PEI STUDENTS
Join the 6th Annual PEI Biking for Breakfast Challenge presented by the Dairy Farmers of Canada on August 7th, 2010 and help raise funds and awareness for breakfast programs on Prince Edward Island. Register as a team or as a solo rider; full 284 km around the Island or partial course. For more information, visit www.bikingforbreakfast.com.

Measuring Success at School Breakfast Programs
Breakfast for Learning PEI has partnered with the School Nutrition and Activity Project (SNAP) research team at UPEI to conduct an evaluation of all school breakfast programs on PEI.  Data was collected from program organizers, volunteers and program site visits during the months of February – April 2010. Results are expected fall 2010.

Community Gives Back
Thank you to Service Canada for their recent donation to Breakfast for Learning PEI. A number of BBQ luncheons were planned across the province as part of National Public Service Week in June. Proceeds from the luncheon were presented to Charmaine Campbell, Breakfast for Learning PEI Coordinator.
