Success Stories

At the Blessed Sacrament School in Wainwright, we had a Breakfast for Learning Challenge for the month of October.  The class that raised the highest number of (food) items received a free pizza lunch.  Every Friday the food was collected from boxes in each classroom, and the graph was updated.  We collected just over 2,000 items including bread, cheese, crackers, granola bars, and raisins.  The grade 7 class collected 880 items. The grade 8 class came second and the grade 5’s came third.
We have removed all chocolate bars from our vending machines and have put in granola bars, puffed wheat squares, rice crisp squares, trail mix, cheese and crackers.”
